Dr. Rostineu, S.S., M.A. graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (S1) from the Study Program of Japanese Language and Culture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (then known as the Japanese Literature Study Program) in 2004. After completing his studies, she began her career as a lecturer at Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa LIA, Jakarta.

In 2007, she pursued a Master’s degree (S2) in the Master’s Program at the Department of History, Inha University, South Korea. Later, in 2017, she continued her Doctoral studies (S3) in the Doctoral Program at the Department of History, Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta.

Current Position: Head of the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta.

Dr. Akhmad Saifudin, S.S., M.Si. graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (S1) from the Study Program of Japanese Language and Culture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (then known as the Japanese Literature Study Program) in 1998. Three years after completing his studies, he began his career as the Head of the Japanese Language Study Program at Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing Dian Nuswantoro, Semarang.

In 2003, he pursued a Master’s degree (S2) in the Master’s Program of Japanese Area Studies at Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta. Later, in 2017, he continued his Doctoral studies (S3) in the Doctoral Program in Literary Studies (Linguistics Concentration) at Universitas Padjadjaran, Sumedang.

Current Position: Head of the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta.

Bayu Aryanto is a graduate of the Bachelor’s (S1) Program in Japanese Language and Culture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (formerly Japanese Literature Study Program). He continued his Master’s (S2) degree in the Linguistics Master’s Program at Universitas Diponegoro, then pursued a Doctoral (S3) degree in the Doctoral Program in Humanities, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Bayu has been actively working as an editor, reviewer, and contributor for journals focusing on Japanese studies and language and literature at the level of SINTA 3 and above. He also has extensive teaching experience in courses such as Interpreting and Creative Content for Japanese Studies.

Current Position: Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, Semarang.

Dr. Mohammad Jakfar Idrus, M.A., Ph.D.

Dr. Mohammad Jakfar Idrus is an Associate Professor at the School of Asia 21 and a lecturer at the Graduate School of Globalising Asia, Kokushikan University, Japan. He is a graduate of the Japanese Language Department, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and later earned his Master’s degree (2010) and Doctor of Political Science (2015) at Kokushikan University.

His expertise includes Political Science and Asian Area Studies, with research focused on modern nation-state formation, Southeast Asian socio-political dynamics, and issues of multiethnicity and multiculturalism in Indonesia. In his teaching, he introduces students to the socio-political realities of Southeast Asia and encourages them to understand “how the Southeast Asian world works,” with Indonesia as the main focus.

Heni Hernawati, S.S., M.A., Ph.D

Heni Hernawati, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. is a graduate of the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program (formerly Japanese Literature), Universitas Gadjah Mada. She later pursued her Master’s and Doctoral degrees at Nagoya University, Japan.
Her career began in 2003 as a Japanese language instructor at Universitas Diponegoro, and in 2014 she became an Indonesian language instructor in the Department of Asian Studies at Nanzan University.

Current Position: Lecturer in the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Semarang.
